Joint Ventures Consulting LLC | jointventuresco.com Effective date: October 15, 2026 | Last updated: October 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Joint Ventures Consulting LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("JVCO", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information through jointventuresco.com (the "Site"), including our inquiry and letter of intent ("LOI") forms. JVCO is the controller (or "business") for this information.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us through our forms, email, or messaging:
- Contact and identity details: name, job title, company name, email, phone number, and country.
- Transaction details: commodity, specification, volume, delivery terms, destination port, and similar requirements.
- Company and verification documents: company registration documents and any other documents you choose to provide (for example, an LOI, bank reference, or authorized signatory ID). Please send ID or banking documents only when we ask for them.
- Correspondence: messages you send us and our replies.
Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP, and date and time of visits, through our hosting, Cloudflare, and analytics (see Section 7).
Information from others: results of sanctions, watch-list, adverse-media, and company-registry checks; and information from principals, suppliers, and other intermediaries involved in a potential transaction.
2. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and assess whether we can help;
- carry out know-your-customer ("KYC"), anti-money laundering ("AML"), anti-fraud, and sanctions screening, including checks required by our suppliers and their banks;
- introduce you to, and progress a potential transaction with, relevant principals, suppliers, and intermediaries;
- prepare and manage non-circumvention, non-disclosure, and fee protection agreements;
- operate, secure, and improve the Site and prevent abuse;
- comply with law, regulatory requests, and legal process; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How we share it
We share personal information only as needed for the purposes above:
- Counterparties and suppliers: with sellers, buyers, their mandates, attorneys, and banks, and with other intermediaries in the transaction chain, only as needed to progress a transaction and under confidentiality obligations (for example, a non-circumvention and non-disclosure agreement). We share only the minimum needed at each stage.
- Service providers: hosting, Cloudflare, email, file storage, form, analytics, and screening providers who process data for us under contract.
- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, and insurers, under confidentiality.
- Legal and safety: law enforcement, regulators, courts, or others where required by law or needed to prevent fraud, protect rights, or respond to sanctions concerns.
- Business transfers: a buyer or successor in a merger, sale, or reorganization of JVCO, subject to this Policy.
Counterparties who receive your information use it under their own privacy policies and legal obligations. JVCO is not responsible for their handling of it.
4. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including:
- Inquiries that do not progress: up to 24 months from last contact.
- KYC, AML, and sanctions records and transaction files: up to 5–7 years after the relationship or transaction ends, or longer if required by law or needed for a legal claim.
- Site logs: as set by our providers, typically up to 12 months.
We then delete or anonymize it.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Cloudflare security services, access controls, and limiting access to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee security. Do not send passport, bank, or other sensitive documents unless we request them through an official channel.
6. International transfers
JVCO is based in the United States, and our counterparties and service providers are located in many countries. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) or rely on a legal exception, such as a transfer being necessary for steps you ask us to take.
7. Cookies and analytics
The Site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set strictly necessary cookies (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) to detect bots, filter malicious traffic, and keep the Site secure. These cookies do not identify you personally and cannot be switched off without affecting the Site.
The Site does not use any analytics tools or advertising cookies.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our Site does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or stop sending you communications, by contacting us (Section 14). Additional rights by region are below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep some information where the law requires or allows, such as for KYC/AML records or legal claims.
9. EEA and UK residents (GDPR and UK GDPR)
Legal bases. We process personal information on these bases:
- Steps before a contract / contract: responding to your inquiry and progressing a transaction you ask us to help with.
- Legitimate interests: operating our business, KYC, AML, fraud prevention, and sanctions screening, protecting the Site, and defending legal claims. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Legal obligation: where law requires us to keep or disclose information.
- Consent: for non-essential cookies and where we otherwise ask for it. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
Your rights. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Required information. Some information (such as company details and KYC documents) is needed to progress a transaction. If you do not provide it, we may not be able to help.
Automated decisions. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing. Screening tool matches are reviewed by a person.
10. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
This section applies to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), applies to JVCO.
Categories collected (past 12 months): identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); professional or employment information (company, title); commercial information (commodity requirements and transaction details); internet or network activity (Site usage data); approximate geolocation; and, only if you provide them, government ID and financial documents, which may be sensitive personal information. Sources and purposes are described in Sections 1 and 2. Categories of recipients are described in Section 3. Retention is described in Section 4.
No sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Sensitive personal information. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes permitted by the CCPA (such as verifying identity, security, fraud prevention, and compliance), so a right to limit does not apply.
Your rights. You may request to:
- know/access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, the sources, purposes, and recipients;
- delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
- correct inaccurate personal information; and
- opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share).
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email trade@jointventuresco.com. We will verify your request by matching information you provide with our records. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of authorization. We will respond within 45 days, extendable once by 45 days with notice.
11. Nevada and other U.S. states
Nevada residents may submit a request to opt out of the sale of covered information to trade@jointventuresco.com. We do not sell covered information as defined under Nevada law. Residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws may exercise applicable rights by contacting us.
12. Children
The Site is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting the new version on the Site and updating the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required.
